Delta for WPC 7-1-17

The word Delta, for me, has only one meaning.

I guess my world is pretty small.

I blame (and thank) my father, who taught us the only real sin in life was boredom. All other transgressions were lessons we just had to learn, but boredom was an insult to God.

Dad taught us that at any moment, in any setting, we could simply use our senses and become aware that we are always surrounded by miracles!

So…though I have seen many places, I have never needed to travel very far to be completely captivated by my surroundings.

Therefore, in my small world, the word “delta” immediately brings to mind the area of the Deep South that I lived in. (Well, that and maybe the airline that could get me there…)

Thought a blog might help me develop better writing habits so I could finally finish my book, 16 years in the writing, but so far it's mostly photos and FUN!

    1. So glad you came to the deep south and became my friend!
      Happy 4th! Love ya!!

  1. Don’t know if boredom is a sin, but I’ve never been bored…too many things to think about and do to get bored. That, or it’s ADHD.

    1. Ah Mr. Fish!

For me it is most definitely BOTH!! I don’t get bored because my mind is constantly reeling with possibilities! Even if I don’t have the energy to do anything!

Thanks for your reply. (I now have a context for your effort.) As you can see, I’ve not posted much lately (either). But we have an EPIC Road Trip coming soon (to the “Delta”) and I wanted to get back in the groove!

Now, if I could only find my camera. OR, I figure if we sleep a few nights in the car, instead of even the cheapest motels, I may be able to buy a new one!!!

      1. You definitely have the magic touch with that phone of yours. I do miss my camera. I know it pretty intimately and have had a good relationship with it. Sigh. Ok. I’ll try my phone.

  2. Now that I live in the deep south again, I really enjoyed your photos! For the first time in a very long time I skipped this week’s photo challenge as I just couldn’t come up with anything that signified “delta” to me besides the airline. Thanks for showing me what it’s all about…and pretty much right in my backyard!
