Well, I’ve been gone on my Epic Road Trip for so long, I feel overwhelmed at the thought of catching up…with reading all my favorite blogs as well as restarting my own. But I saw this on https://dailymusing57.com/2017/09/22/thursdays-special-traces-of-the-past-9/ and was inspired.
Early in our trip we went to explore the ruins of a beautiful, mysterious Antebellum home in Mississippi, right off the Natchez Trace.
Here’s a slideshow of The Windsor Ruins, though the feeling while standing there cannot be captured digitally (or on film).
What a majestic place it must have been!
Here are sites to learn more if you like.

The theme this week is vengeance or revenge…hmm, harsh but there is a great song that comes to mind. It may be more about the power of anger. But for “revenge” you could visualize playing this song to someone who has wronged you!!
Thought I’d better add some cats to the Dog Representation of waiting!
Lucy, since she was tiny, would find a hiding place and then wait to be discovered!
How is this not the biggest waste ever of a perfectly fine “structure” ????
I’m just saying….
Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 9/3/17
Here’s my song for this Sunday. Love the lyrics, especially
Two AM and I’m still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, its no longer
Inside of me, threatening the life it belongs to
And I feel like I’m naked in front of the crowd
‘Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you’ll use them, however you want to
It’s how I feel every time I post on my blog!
Nothing like seeing something “shiny” that causes one to burst into tears in the middle of a museum!
Something that caught my eye while we were touring the National Naval Aviation Museum. Wish I could tell you what it was!
I meant to go back and photograph the sign describing it…
Something quite feminine about it from this angle…but no idea what it is…
