I published some of these for another challenge already but I am so completely in awe of a particular representation of this theme. It’s close to my house and I look forward to seeing it each year.
I have been calling this the “Wonder Wall”. I drive by other walls like this in my travels around Seattle and Bellevue (Washington), covered with color, but nothing like this one. Most are along the freeways. Here, I park and can walk by, slowly, taking close-up shots. I really love it.
(These are also my first attempts at short videos so I’d appreciate it if you let me know if they work! Turn down your volume and imagine tweeting birds because unfortunately the best light is during rush-hour traffic!)
Just to give you an idea of how many photo ops there are at this wall, these I’m posting today are all different from the ones I already posted on the Lens Artist’s Challenge-Changing/Changeable.
You can see that one here:
Now that the weekly WordPress Photo challenge happens on Wednesdays, I find myself trying to combine it with my previous favorite photo challenge, Wordless Wednesday.
Wordless Wednesday has always been a great test for me because I do tend to be a bit wordy! (no…really?)
But today I can’t really find a way to join the two challenges together so try to ignore the non-sequitur-ness of this post…
Here is a slide show on Winter Growth in my neighborhood. I love seeing all the new baby branches reaching for the sky!
And here is my Wordless Wednesday post.
I call it the Breakfast Club.
I suppose if I could talk on Wordless Wednesday, I would say that my Breakfast Club is GROWING!!!
It has become so much more cooperative (and populated) every morning since the Evil Squirrels can’t climb the bird-feeder pole any longer. They tend to knock the feeder to the ground, often breaking it. And then they decimate the food supply. We installed a squirrel repellent “Slinky” on the pole and so far, it’s working.
Don’t you dare feel sorry for the squirrels. They get plenty, believe me! Those beautiful flocks of Finches (House and Yellow) knock plenty of seed to the ground for the Quail and the squirrels.
And when the Flicker shows up, he is so messy, there is a feast.
Even the Crows and Seagulls stop by for Brunch.
See? “Wordless” is a challenge for me!!
Have to say…
Fuschias still dropping from Summer…
Primroses blooming way too early for Spring
Parul, from https://www.happinessandfood.com/thursdaytreelove-28/
liked a photo I posted last week on “Serene” and invited me to submit something for
“Thursday Tree Love”.
But here’s what I discovered…When I went onto my site and picked the word Tree from the list of Categories, I was shocked to find how often I write about or post pictures of trees!!
Here is one of my favorite Tree photos!!
And though painful, here is a re-post of one of my favorite Tree Stories:
I clearly love me some TREES and I’d also love comments on either the photos above or this story.
Thanks for the invite, Parul!
