Chosen Perspective; a hard won example!

Well, if you absolutely have to go to a hospital, I wish a similar experience for you.

This is NOT a rant about today’s healthcare, although I have had some extremely poor, tacky, even dangerous treatment in the last few years.

This is about the completely unexpected bonus of perusing the equivalent of a lovely art gallery, in a building with a stunning view! All right there at the hospital.

Here’s my story in pictures, most of which don’t even scratch the surface of the visual treat!!!

(The very top photo is Lucy taking care of me before the doctor’s visit.)

Started with a tiny ankle fracture but a whopper of a SPRAIN!

My view as they tortured me in PT! (I’m kidding! I hardly noticed what they were doing!)

Outside view of the top floor of Seattle’s tallest building. I officiated a wedding here last year.

The hallways are covered with stunning and moving photography!

Even the counter top of the check-out desk has this beautiful Fused Glass!

Oh, and the medical staff was truly exceptional!

It took a some effort to shift my perspective but all in all, not a bad urgent medical visit!!!  Not bad at all.

A big Thank You to University of Washington/Harborview!

SongLyricSunday…on Friday, 9/7/18

I have had a grief-filled week and came across this song. (Thank you Carol.)

Nothing to do with cars, and I could save it until this theme comes around someday, but today is when I needed it, and there it was. It might not be new to others but a wonderful surprise for me.

The music is lovely and haunting, and the video is beautiful.

Full screen and volume up for this one.

I am resilient I trust the movement I negate the chaos Uplift the negative I’ll show up at the table Again and again and again I’ll close my mouth and learn to listen These times are poignant The winds have shifted It’s all we can do To stay uplifted Pipelines through backyards Wolves howling out front Yeah I got my crew but truth is what I want Realigned and on point Power to the peaceful, prayers to the waters Women at the center All vessels open to give and receive Let’s see this system brought down to its knees I’m made of thunder, I’m made of lightning I’m made of dirt, yeah Made of the fine things My father taught me That I’m a speck of dust and this world was made for me so let’s go and try our luck I’ve got my roots down down down deep So what are we doing here What has been done What are you going to do about it When the world comes undone My voice feels tiny And I’m sure so does yours Put us all together we’ll make a mighty roar I am resilient I trust the movement I negate the chaos Uplift the negative I’ll show up at the table again and again and again I’ll close my mouth and learn to listen…

Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 9/2/18

Daily Prompt from The Daily Post–Broken

Broken

I am.

I can’t think about anything except these being the last of the Daily Post’s helpful articles, lessons, prompts, challenges, etc.

I’m still new enough that I feel like an enthusiastic and wildly curious elementary school child in my process and someone has told me my school is closing…..

sigh.
