I had the same thought as V.J. ( https://onewomansquest.org/2019/10/16/candid/ )
I immediately remembered this series of photos of cousins meeting for the first time.

No clue what they were watching but they both look pretty serious. And it was not the first time I caught a glimpse of my grandson’s protective nature!

That arm around his newfound cousin just grabs my heart.
I KNOW!!! And of course, the back story could fill a book. Oh wait. I AM writing a book about it! A hint; these two children’s’ parents had never met before….(my daughter and son)
We got to repeat the reunion 2 summers ago but they were 14 and 15!
Oh, you have me hooked. I didn’t meet my brothers (as my brothers) until I was 11. Families!
that reminds me of when my bots met their Canadian cousins for the first time – you and VJ had a great idea for the fun “candid” theme this week
and love that last photo – wonder what they were watching too
A long story behind these! But so sweet and protective – what might become of them as they grow up? Precious shots for them later on as well.
Excellent! Is there a bad picture of children? I’ve rarely seen one.
Oh that closing capture is truly priceless – hang on to that one until they grow up!
