Thought a blog might help me develop better writing habits so I could finally finish my book, 16 years in the writing, but so far it's mostly photos and FUN!

  1. Washington is a big state. I think people forget, sometimes that you can have — even in a much smaller state — cities on the coast AND inland. We do in Massachusetts … and we’re tiny. But you have the Rocky Mountains … or are they the Sierra Nevada range?

    1. Neither. We have the Cascades to the East of us and the photos I posted are the Olympics which are way west of us. On clear days I feel like I could be in the Alps!! There is one spot where I can see to the West, Hurricane Ridge in the Olympics and to the South, Mount Rainier (Cascades) and Mount Baker to the North. And I live in the foothills of the Cascade range so can always see mountains closer to the East. In other words, I am surrounded by VOLCANOES!!

    1. On the street, directly in front of my house!! I used to have this same view from my house and deck, until those builders planted the row of fir trees!! Lucky for me I also like seeing the trees!
