This old homestead was on the side of Mt. Kit Carson, the lower peak next to Mt. Spokane. Only the foundation survives. I drove by it many times on my way to play music with my band-mate who lives about two miles above. Imagining the many lives who passed through its rooms and halls always reminded me to appreciate history and the folks who paved the way for us all.
