Thought a blog might help me develop better writing habits so I could finally finish my book, 16 years in the writing, but so far it's mostly photos and FUN!

ok-is the Aussie Stick Bug as pretty as the jewelry or were you trying to show his size in comparison. I have to say they still kind of freak me out
She is my Queen bug. I just call her that because she is the biggest and oldest one I have had so far. But she passed away and I wanted to photograph her one last time in all her glory.
I got out the box of my Grandmother’s jewelry from the 1930’s and surrounded her with the jewels fitting for her status as “the Queen”.
Then I laid her to rest outside among the vines she lived from.
Morbid? Probably. Weird? Definitely.
But mostly, I wanted to honor the amazing experience these creatures have given me, certainly not one I would have ever EVER chosen!!!
Thanks for tolerating these posts in spite of your discomfort, Lisa!

Oh I think that is really special and shows the sensitive person you are.I don’t see it as morbid at all or weird.
Beautiful photos and a beautiful story. I know you loved her.
I’m fascinated in a horrific sort of way. That’s one huge bug.
love the pic of her with the jewels!
Thanks. I figured she deserved that kind of tribute. She lived the longest so far!!!
